Coffee / extra table – Roger Capron
Sandstone and metal
Circa 1960
L92.5xp43.5xhmh
Light metal structure with voluntary patina effect and sandstone tiles engraved with leaves of leaves which constitute the herbarium of the scrubland frequently declined by the artist.
The colors of autumn are quiet in all the nuances of beige and ocher and the nature of Capron stands out with our gaze gently even though this theme has become so significant. Grand Prix International de la Céramique in 1970, gold medal of the Triennale de Milan in 1954, gold medal in Brussels in 1959, Roger Capron will remain in history as one of the greatest.
