Vintage Design
The beautiful ‘Costela’ lounge chairs by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler are one of the icons of Brazilian Mid-Century Modern Design. The name ‘Costela’ which translates as rib, is apparent in the design with it’s eight dark stained wooden slats that resemble a rib structure. The slats are rhythmically positioned and curve upwards on the sides. A curved black coated tubular steel frame with short legs and wooden shoes create the necessary support. The nice off-white linnen cushions are attached to the backrest and seat by tied strings, gently embraced by the curve on the wood slats’ edge. Create a warm and luxurious ambience with these true design icons!
