French 19th Century Diamonds 18 Karat Yellow Gold Silver Pendant

Pendant in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle head hallmark, and silver.

This magnificent antique pendant features arabesque floral motifs, cornucopia and egrets, all set with old-cut and rose-cut diamonds.

At the end of the pendant, a larger cushion-cut diamond is claw-set.

At the back are 2 small rings for attaching a horse chain with double spring rings.

Height : 6,1 cm approximately, width : 5,8 cm approximately, thickness : 9,2 mm approximately, chain width : 1.3 mm approximately, length : 52 cm approximately.

Total weight of the jewel : 21,7 g approximately.

Antique jewel – French work of the second half of the XIXth century.

Our opinion : The main motif of this antique diamond pendant was probably part of a more complete piece of antique jewelry, as evidenced by the small screw thread on the back of the piece.
