Absolutely rare set of completely restored oak lounge chairs in beatiful Gancedo fabric, model
Vesubio Beige.
Krasna Jizba, retail furnishing store founded in 1927, contributed to forming interior design and life style in Czechoslovakia
during first half of the 20th century. It was a prominent institution in the field of modern interior design between the two Wars.
Krasna Jizba played the role of an arbiter of functional and tasteful living for thousands of households. It combined high aesthetical,
functional demands and practical but limited mass production for middle class. One of their designer, publisher and former founder and director
of then more famous UP Zavody with its late Jindrich Halabala, was also Jan Vanek.
He introduced a series of armchairs, tables and stools in late 40s with a typical water drop like front leg design.
Armchairs were completely restored. Frame disassembled, hand stripped off original varnish, hand sanded, stained to a combination
of dark walnut and black color and coated with 10 layers of hard wax Osmo oil to semi mate. Ecru cotton straps as per original installed.
Genuine color rendition. Please note that rendition of wood, fabric and straps is more light due to use of flash. Color of wood is rather black than brown.
Inner is medium hard foam. Chairs are very comfortable offering 3 positions and reclining up to 110 cm of total depth.
