\nBeautiful suite of 4 “unicorn” chairs in excellent condition, created by Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) for the Baumann house.
\nThese chairs in solid beech, in the ergonomic shape, have a curved backrest and a comfortable seat. These are garnished and covered with a black imitation leather in perfect condition.
\nThese seats also stand out for their tapered base with compass feet.
\nSolid and elegant, these chairs will seduce you with their timeless design and their manufacturing quality.<\/p>\n

Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) is a visionary French designer. He studied at the National School of Decorative Arts and graduated in 1949. He then worked in the workshop of Marcel Gascoin and presents his first models at the Salon des Artistes Décorators and at the Household Arts Fair. In 1953, he designed the mythical “barrel” chair to Steiner. In 1957, he was appointed artistic director of the company Meurop. Subsequently, he will share his knowledge with students from the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris.<\/p>\n

Baumann is a furniture manufacturing company created in 1901 by the Swiss Émile Baumann. She experienced her peak between 1950 and 1970 by making qualitative and innovative furniture. This factory worked with symbiosis with important designers. She is also known for her chairs of famous bistros, called “Baumann chairs”. <\/p>\n
