Vintage Design <\/p>\n
Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) is a visionary French designer. He studied at the National School of Decorative Arts and graduated in 1949. He then worked in the workshop of Marcel Gascoin and presents his first models at the Salon des Artistes Décorators and at the Household Arts Fair. In 1953, he designed the mythical “barrel” chair to Steiner. In 1957, he was appointed artistic director of the company Meurop. Subsequently, he will share his knowledge with students from the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris.<\/p>\n
Baumann is a furniture manufacturing company created in 1901 by the Swiss Émile Baumann. She experienced her peak between 1950 and 1970 by making qualitative and innovative furniture. This factory worked with symbiosis with important designers. She is also known for her chairs of famous bistros, called “Baumann chairs”. <\/p>\n
