This Stickley Mission style barrister bookcase is made from handcrafted, quarter-sawn oak. It has a warm, mellow patina that looks lovely in any room. The label pictured with the Stickley insignia has the numbers 89-1743-032. The 89 may mean the year 1989, and the 032 is the Stickley stain color. There are five stackable pieces. The top piece can be used for pictures, or other decorative pieces, or even additional books. It’s in good condition, appropriate to its age.
Stickley discontinued this type of bookcase in 2016.

The glass doors all work well. Note: the wood glides are handmade, not metal. When pulling the doors open, the pull should be with a gentle, symmetrically-even pull as the wood glides are original. The glides have been maintained by applications of Butchers wax paste. The wood-backing of the lower-most piece is bowed at the top from age. less
